Soccer Recap: Steubenville Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Steubenville scored first but ultimately less than Marietta in their match on Monday. They fell 4-2 to the Tigers.

Cole Bowers wasn't going to let Marietta walk away unscathed as he scored both of Steubenville's goals, bringing his season total up to 33 goals.

Steubenville's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5-1. As for Marietta, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6-3.

Steubenville and Marietta should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Big Red (ranked 175th) will meet Harrison Central (ranked 436th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marietta will challenge Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (223 vs. 601).
