Soccer Game Preview: Rocktown vs. East Rockingham

The Rocktown Raptors will venture away from home to challenge the East Rockingham Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rocktown will be strutting in after a victory while East Rockingham will be coming in after a loss.

Rocktown will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal back in March, then bounced right back against Broadway on Tuesday. The Raptors blew past the Gobblers 9-1. With Rocktown ahead 6-1 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Broadway from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. William Diaz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, East Rockingham was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to William Monroe.

Rocktown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Rockingham, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
