Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is East Ridge's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

East Ridge barely beat West Port the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Wolf Pack 3-0 on Tuesday.

One reason for the win was East Ridge's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Ashlyn Crane paced East Ridge's offense, picking up 15 kills. Crane got some help from Breylan Fairley and her 27 assists. Crane also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isabella Aponte, each putting up three.

Despite the defeat, West Port had strong showings from Keylimar Mejias, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Samantha Ramage, who had eight digs and two assists.

East Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for West Port, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

East Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Port, they will welcome Lake Weir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
