Softball Recap: Pendleton County Wildcat vs. Moorefield Yellow Jackets
Pendleton County and Moorefield squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Pendleton County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Moorefield Yellow Jackets by a score of 8-6. Pendleton County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Moorefield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.
Lizzie Alt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Pendleton County and nudges their season record down to 21-5. As for Moorefield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5.
As of now, neither Pendleton County nor Moorefield have any future games scheduled.
