Basketball Recap: Chapel Hill Gets the Win

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Chapel Hill Red Devils beat the Clarksville Tigers 34-30 on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Clarksville lost, don't look at Keileigh Edwards. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Edwards' third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deunia Neal, who posted four points and six boards.

Chapel Hill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clarksville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chapel Hill will head out to take on De Kalb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarksville, they will venture away from home to face off against Liberty-Eylau at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
