Volleyball Game Preview: Hunter Wolverines vs. Bonneville Lakers

The Hunter Wolverines will challenge the Bonneville Lakers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hunter is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Hunter came up short against Grantsville and fell 3-1. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cowboys 25-16 in the first set.

Hunter started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 16-25, 29-27, 25-14, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Bonneville had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Fremont on Friday as Bonneville made off with a 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Lakers this season.

While Bonneville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-25, 25-18.

Hunter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bonneville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
