Football Recap: Brock's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to 11 + How To Watch

Brock had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Dunbar Wildcats to the tune of 49-0 on Thursday. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryer Mcdonald, who rushed for 133 yards and three TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Matlock, who picked up 154 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Brock proved: they limited Dunbar to a paltry 1.2 yards per carry. While four picked up at least two total tackles, Matlock stood above the rest. He picked up 154 receiving yards and two scores. Brock's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.

Brock's defense also made the game a nightmare for Marcus McDade, racking up eight sacks. It was truly a group effort as RJ Cannon, Brett Cannon, and Karsen Sullivan picked up two apiece. Brett has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Caleb Holt was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The win keeps Brock at an undefeated 11-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.3 points this season. As for Dunbar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Brock will be playing in front of their home fans against Estacado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
