With a playoff win on the line, Rockmart rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory (which was Rockmart's fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rockmart beat the Warriors by a score of 18-0 later that day.
