After losing to Hot Springs the last time they met, Pojoaque Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hot Springs Tigers 48-6 on the road. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Elks/Elkettes.

Pojoaque Valley found their leader in underclassman Jonah Villegas, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Villegas has posted since back in September of 2023. D'Marcus Rodriguez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pojoaque Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hot Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pojoaque Valley will challenge Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hot Springs, they will take on Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
