Basketball Recap: West Jefferson Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when West Jefferson challenged Firth on Friday. The match between the West Jefferson Panthers and the Firth Cougars didn't end well, with the West Jefferson Panthers falling 57-41. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Leading Firth to victory were Kinzlee Faulkner and Georgiana Jolley. Faulkner posted 18 points, while Jolley earned 15 points. The dominant performance gave Faulkner a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylie Mecham, who had nine points.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Firth, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither West Jefferson nor Firth have any future games scheduled.
