Football Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Hudson + How To Watch

Hudson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past the Bellingham Blackhawks with a 21-17 victory on Friday. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Blackhawks are ranked 120th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Logan Dome went supernova, rushing for 154 yards and one score while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 88 yards and one TD. Those 154 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The win (which was Hudson's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Bellingham, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Hudson and Bellingham are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Hawks will square off against Old Rochester Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bellingham, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Norton at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. The Blackhawks will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
