Baseball Recap: Holden Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Holden finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Sulphur Golden Tors. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

With the defeat, Holden broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3. As for Sulphur, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Holden will face off against Springfield at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sulphur, they will square off against St. Thomas More at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
