Volleyball Recap: John Jay Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Lancaster

John Jay faced Lancaster in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots fell 2-0 to the Legends. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Peyton Kellam paced John Jay's offense, picking up five kills. Kellam got some help from Margaret Bojarczuk and her 14 assists. Kellam was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

John Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 29-9-3. As for Lancaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither John Jay nor Lancaster have any future games scheduled.
