Softball Recap: Leto Takes a Loss

Leto extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-13. They lost 20-3 to the Spoto Spartans. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

As for Spoto, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. That looming 20-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Spoto's part, Chanel Williams was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with eight RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Williams has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Maya Sanchez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Coming up, Leto will head out to challenge Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spoto, they will take on Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.45 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
