It was a good run, but Northwest unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Stevens Raiders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

Ava Janulewicz paced Northwest's offense, picking up 19 kills. Janulewicz got some help from Kenna Bowman and her 35 assists. Janulewicz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Stevens, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northwest will square off against Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stevens, they will face off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
