Basketball Game Recap: Atlanta Rabbits vs. Redwater Dragons

The Redwater Dragons typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Atlanta Rabbits proved too difficult a challenge. Atlanta walked away with a 55-45 victory over Redwater. The victory was all the more spectacular given Atlanta's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while Redwater is ranked 138th).

Redwater's loss came despite strong showings from Tyris Crowell and Marquez Jones. Crowell went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 0 assists, while Jones scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The game was Jones' fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The victory makes it two in a row for Atlanta and bumps their season record up to 4-4. As for Redwater, they bumped their record down to 6-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Atlanta is on the road again on Friday and play against Gospel Light Christian at 3:30 p.m. on December 1st. Gospel Light Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Redwater, they will be playing at home against Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
