Softball Recap: Oelwein Takes a Loss

Oelwein suffered their closest loss since June 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cascade Cougars by a score of 5-3.

Oelwein's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Cascade, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Oelwein will square off against Denver at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Cyclones have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Cascade, they will be playing at home against Beckman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trailblazers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
