Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Blanchet Bears vs. Ballard Beavers

Bishop Blanchet has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Ballard has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Bishop Blanchet Bears will get right back to it and host the Ballard Beavers at 7:00 p.m.

Bishop Blanchet is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Seattle Academy just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Ballard humbled Cleveland with a 63-28 victory. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Ballard has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Bishop Blanchet, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 15-1 and their overall record down to 17-2.

Everything went Bishop Blanchet's way against Ballard in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Bishop Blanchet made off with a 55-32 win. Will Bishop Blanchet repeat their success, or does Ballard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
