Mooresville waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 win over the Cox Mill Chargers. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 60-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mooresville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyri Wilson, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Clark, who went 5 of 6 en route to 12 points and seven blocks.

Mooresville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Cox Mill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Mooresville and Central Cabarrus will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Cox Mill, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Palisades at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Palisades is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
