El Camino posted their closest win since March 1st on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 2-1. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

John Ritz paced El Camino's offense, picking up seven kills. Ritz got some help from Nathanael Scharff and his seven assists. Travis Colwell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

El Camino's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Santa Fe Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

El Camino has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Escondido Charter on the 15th. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will square off against Point Loma at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Point Loma: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Santa Fe Christian has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
