Volleyball Recap: Scarlett Jones and Lillian Chung Secure Win for Natick

Natick's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Braintree Wamps by a score of 3-1. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Wamps recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Natick walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 21-25, 25-10.

Leading Natick to victory were Lillian Chung and Scarlett Jones. Chung had 11 digs and four aces, while Jones had five digs and five aces. Jones is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Natick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive contests.

Braintree's loss came despite strong showings from Bella Tran and Joely Wang. Tran had eight digs and two aces, while Wang had five digs and three aces.

Natick's record now sits at 5-3. As for Braintree, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Natick has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Needham on the 30th. As for Braintree, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Brookline on the 30th.
