Baseball Recap: Lawrenceville Comes Up Short

Lawrenceville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the South Knox Spartans. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Lawrenceville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neilan Bickers, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Lawrenceville's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for South Knox, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrenceville will take on Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Knox, they will challenge Linton-Stockton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
