Football Recap: Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics fell victim to Augusta Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost to the Lions on the road by a 14-0 margin. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Augusta Christian found their leader in sophomore Harris Janik, who rushed for 207 yards and one TD while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 61 yards and one touchdown. Those 207 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Janik.

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Augusta Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Augusta Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Ben Lippen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
