Softball Recap: D.C. Everest's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

D.C. Everest strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Hudson Raiders get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Evergreens' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Not much got past Addison Kluck, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep Hudson off the board. Kluck has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Klatt, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Freidel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

D.C. Everest pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. D.C. Everest will take on Marshfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hudson, they will square off against River Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
