Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Trinity Christian Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They really took it to the Lakewood Presbyterian Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-39 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 30 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Rolen, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. Rolen's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Nutt, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards.

Trinity Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will welcome Harvest Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Harvest Christian Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they will take on Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
