Volleyball Recap: Deshler Beats Rogers for Their Fourth Straight Win

Deshler entered their tilt with Rogers on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

The win didn't come easy: Rogers scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Leading Deshler to victory were Kendall Scogin and Allie Wiginton. Scogin had 22 digs and two assists, while Wiginton had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Wiginton has posted since back in September.

Deshler's victory bumped their record up to 31-8. As for Rogers, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Deshler will take on Muscle Shoals in a tournament on Saturday. As for Rogers, they will square off against Lauderdale County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
