Volleyball Recap: Bolsa Grande Takes a Loss

Bolsa Grande lost against La Quinta back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Matadors fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 3-2. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bolsa Grande wouldn't go down easily and took La Quinta into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Bolsa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for La Quinta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bolsa Grande is set to take on their familiar foe Estancia at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, La Quinta will face off against rival Rancho Alamitos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
