Melbourne has no trouble against Port St. Lucie

The Melbourne Bulldogs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Port St. Lucie with a sharp 50-30 victory.

Melbourne found their leader in underclassman Cecelia Nardone, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals. Addyson Turba was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.

Melbourne's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Port St. Lucie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Melbourne will head out on the road to face off against Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Titusville and Melbourne are at an even 4-4-1 over their past nine head-to-heads. As for Port St. Lucie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Edward's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
