Volleyball Recap: Thayer Academy Comes Up Short

Thayer Academy lost against Middlesex back in October of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers came up short against Middlesex, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.

Lyla Martel paced Thayer Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Martel got some help from Caroline Snyder and her 13 assists.

Thayer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Middlesex, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Thayer Academy will take on rival Dana Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Middlesex is set to face off against their familiar foe Noble & Greenough at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
