Basketball Recap: Tyler Nydam's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Turlock Christian over Aspire Langston Hughes Academy

Turlock Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 61-40 to the Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-42 back in January.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Nydam, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Nydam is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Dein, who posted five points and four steals.

Turlock Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Turlock Christian has already played their next game, an 83-26 loss against Venture Academy on the 11th. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-54 defeat against River Islands on the 11th.
