Basketball Recap: Walther Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Walther Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost to the Elmwood Park Tigers on the road by a 57-39 margin on Monday. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Walther Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Brandon Pettigrew, who posted 12 points.

Among those leading the charge was Sam Labarbera, who put up 22 points. Another player making a difference was Scotty Ruiz, who scored 13 points.

Walther Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 56-32 defeat against Francis W. Parker on the 25th. As for Elmwood Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-45 win against Aurora Central Catholic on the 25th.
