Football Recap: West Morris Central Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

West Morris Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Roxbury Gaels on Friday as they made off with a 28-7 victory. Considering the Wolfpack have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Deacon Frayne and Brody Mansolino. Frayne rushed for 96 yards and one TD while Mansolino rushed for 28 yards and one score.

West Morris Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 210 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

West Morris Central pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average this season. As for Roxbury, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

West Morris Central has already played their next game, a 35-14 win against Summit on the 14th. Roxbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
