Bath had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bellevue Redmen a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Mikey Hale was his usual excellent self, rushing for 73 yards and two scores, while also picking up 30 receiving yards.

Hale was just one part of a punishing run game: Bath was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellevue only rushed for 40.

Bath has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Bellevue, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Looking ahead, Bath is taking a road trip to face off against Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Whippets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Bellevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
