Basketball Game Preview: Miller County Pirates vs. Cairo Syrupmakers

Miller County is on a three-game streak of home losses, Cairo an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 4:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Miller County ended up a good deal behind Seminole County and lost 73-57. The Pirates were down 60-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Cairo played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Westover, falling 66-40. The Syrupmakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.

Miller County's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cairo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Miller County couldn't quite finish off Cairo in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 61-58. Can Miller County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
