Soccer Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge and Maple Hill squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cambridge had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Cambridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Maple Hill are ranked 81st).

Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Maple Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Cambridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maple Hill, they will challenge Waterford-Halfmoon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
