Basketball Game Preview: Boyceville Bulldogs vs. Glenwood City Hilltoppers

The Boyceville Bulldogs will face off against the Glenwood City Hilltoppers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Boyceville greeted the New Year with with a 61-47 victory over Pepin/Alma. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glenwood City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Lake Holcombe, posting an 81-53 win.

Boyceville better keep an eye on Brody Olson. He was instrumental in Glenwood City's win, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists. They are 2-1 when Olson posts eight or more boards, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Harrington, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Glenwood City was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Glenwood City back to even at 4-4. As for Boyceville, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Boyceville took their victory against Glenwood City when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 61-39. Does Boyceville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glenwood City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
