Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Unity Christian walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Portland Raiders on Saturday as they made off with a 17-8 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 26 contests by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Unity Christian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 33-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Portland, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, Unity Christian will face off against Lakeshore on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 3.7, the Lancers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
