Volleyball Recap: Robbinsville Black Knights vs. Cherokee Braves
Robbinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cherokee Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.
Novie Dutcher and Player #6 certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Dutcher had six digs and three assists, while Player #6 had 16 assists.
Cherokee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joscelyn Stamper, who had 13 kills, four digs, and three blocks. Stamper is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 57 games she's played dating back to last season. Lilly Lossiah was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.
Robbinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cherokee, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-8.
Robbinsville has already played their next matchup (against Rosman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
