Vacaville Christian has gone a perfect 10-0 against Golden Sierra recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Falcons will square off against the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Vacaville Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Woodland Christian just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Cardinals. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cardinals since Wednesday.

While Vacaville Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Golden Sierra didn't have quite enough to beat Highlands on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Golden Sierra took Highlands into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Vacaville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Golden Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Everything went Vacaville Christian's way against Golden Sierra in their previous matchup back in September, as Vacaville Christian made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
