Volleyball Recap: Natick Comes Up Short

Natick lost against Brookline back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. While the Redhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-19 in the first set.

Natick started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Natick lost, don't look at Kiera Moriarty. Despite the final result, she had seven aces. Moriarty has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Natick's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Brookline, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Natick has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Walpole on the 10th. As for Brookline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Boston Latin on the 11th.
