Basketball Game Preview: Inlet Grove Hurricanes vs. Boynton Beach Tigers

The Inlet Grove Hurricanes will be taking part in a tournament against the Boynton Beach Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Inlet Grove is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Pahokee. The Hurricanes came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 66-54 on Thursday. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Robert Brown went supernova, shooting 45% from the field on his way to 27 points and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorden Black, who put up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Meanwhile, Boynton Beach hadn't done well against Santaluces recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 54-41 victory over the Chiefs.

Inlet Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Boynton Beach when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 69-60. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
