Soccer Recap: Gentry Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Gentry's offense. They fell just short of the Green Forest Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Gentry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Green Forest are ranked fifth).

Gentry now has a losing record of 4-5-4. As for Green Forest, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gentry will face off against rival Dardanelle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Green Forest is set to square off against their familiar foe Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Green Forest's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Huntsville have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
