Volleyball Recap: Norfolk County Agricultural's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It was a good run, but Norfolk County Agricultural unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Norfolk County Agricultural actually scored more points across those five sets (111-109), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 19-25, 26-24, 26-24, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Norfolk County Agricultural lost, don't look at Shivonya Scott. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs and two aces. Scott is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bea Seeger, who had ten digs.

Norfolk County Agricultural's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
