Basketball Preview: N.C. School for the Deaf Bears vs. Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers
Having just played yesterday, the N.C. School for the Deaf Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Atlanta Area School for the Deaf took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on N.C. School for the Deaf, who comes in off a win.
Even though N.C. School for the Deaf has not done well against the Vikings recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. N.C. School for the Deaf came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 33-24. The win was just what N.C. School for the Deaf needed coming off of a 59-7 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 44-25 fall against Cottage. Atlanta Area School for the Deaf has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
N.C. School for the Deaf's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
