Football Recap: Christian Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boca Raton Christian over Cambridge Christian + How To Watch

The Boca Raton Christian Blazers came up short against the Cambridge Christian Lancers on Friday and fell 45-36. The Blazers gained 174 more yards on the day, but it was the Lancers that made the best use of them.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Anderson, who picked up 279 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Anderson's receiving production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 103 receiving yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Joey Weber, who threw for 442 yards and four TDs.

Cambridge Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah LeGrande, who rushed for 200 yards and three scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 200 rushing yards gave LeGrande a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Lejkowski, who threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Boca Raton Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Cambridge Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Coming up, Boca Raton Christian will head out to square off against Central Florida Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blazers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. As for Cambridge Christian, they will host Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
