Volleyball Recap: Conant Comes Up Short

Conant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barrington Broncos. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Barrington scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Barrington, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Conant is set to square off against their familiar foe Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Barrington will face off against rival Hersey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
