Football Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for St. Anne-Pacelli

St. Anne-Pacelli had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-5 to make it six. They came out on top against the Westfield School Hornets by a score of 28-16. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 26-10 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Anne-Pacelli to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan 'DJ' Colvin, who rushed for 94 yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Dustin Sherman, who threw for 139 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes.

St. Anne-Pacelli's run defense was locked in: Westfield School could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Uriah Mazyck for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Anne-Pacelli's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

St. Anne-Pacelli's defense didn't let Brock Johnson, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Keyon Williams with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

As for Westfield School, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. Their loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Although Westfield School took the loss, they still got scores from Win Hoots and Johnson.

Coming up, St. Anne-Pacelli will be playing in front of their home fans against Loganville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westfield School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
