Soccer Game Preview: Plumstead Christian vs. Palisades

Plumstead Christian will venture away from home to challenge the Palisades Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Plumstead Christian has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Palisades will arrive with seven straight wins.

Plumstead Christian lost 10-1 to Faith Christian Academy last Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Plumstead Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Faith Christian Academy is ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Palisades kept a clean sheet against Saucon Valley on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-0 victory. Palisades' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Their offense was hitting Saucon Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sebastian Bowen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Palisades' win bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for Plumstead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
