Pennridge is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Thursday. They will be playing at home against the Central Bucks East Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Pennridge lost 8-1 to Coatesville on Wednesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Destiny Novashinski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Averi Dockery was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Central Bucks East came up short against Central Bucks South on Tuesday, falling 14-7. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.
Maggie Funston made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Carly Franklin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Even though they lost, Central Bucks East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.
Having lost for the first time this season, Central Bucks East fell to 4-1. As for Pennridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Pennridge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Central Bucks East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pennridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Bucks East in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, sneaking past 4-2. Does Pennridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Bucks East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
