Baseball Recap: Chester County Find Success

Chester County's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Crockett County Cavaliers 9-7. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 victory the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Tage Hill tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jayce Goff was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Burks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Chester County's record is now 4-1. As for Crockett County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Chester County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against South Gibson on the 13th. As for Crockett County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Huntingdon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
